Ourani Rules & Guidelines

This topic contains Ourani’s rules and guidelines.

Ourani’s goal is to maintain an uplifting, fun atmosphere that everyone can enjoy. Because of this, we have established a few simple guidelines for you to follow. Please make sure to read over our guidelines before participating in both our chat and forum. You agree to these guidelines when you sign up.

Our guidelines are designed to put an emphasis on leniency. We ask that as mature users you take it upon yourselves to mediate smaller issues instead of getting an Ourani team member involved in the situation. This can be done by cordially addressing the problem with the parties involved, or taking a more evasive stance by putting the user on ignore.

To ignore a user in chat, type “!ignore USERNAME”, click on the user and pressing ignore, or view your ignore list from the menu on the left of the map. On the forum, you view their profile and click where it says “Normal” on the right to change it to “Ignored”.

Ourani does not have an incremental punishment ladder. Each time a user breaks a guideline and it is brought to our attention, we will look at it on a case-by-case basis and decide the necessary action, unless otherwise stated.

Thank you for taking the time to read through our guidelines and also participating in Ourani. It wouldn’t be what it is without you! If you have any questions, please contact a member of the team or post on the forum.

General Guidelines
These guidelines extend to all areas of Ourani.

1. Age Restrictions
The minimum age requirement for general access on Ourani is 13. There are many areas that require users to be at least 18 and will be marked as such. Both areas have different guidelines which will be expanded on below.

Underage users will be banned. If a user is found to be bypassing the age filters to enter mature areas, they will be banned until they are 18.

2. Inappropriate Content

Content Rating Definitions

General (13+):

Mature (18+):

  • Allows drawn and photographed nude pinups as long as they are not being posted in a sexualized context, are not participating in sexual activity, are not in the presence of sexual toys, and are not in the presence of bodily fluids.
  • Allows the discussion of sexual content as long as it is not explicit and does not pertain to a user of Ourani. You may share sexual preferences, fetishes, and other discussion topics pertaining to yourself, but you may not describe sexual encounters you have had or actions you have taken.
  • Allows the discussion of recreational, legal drug use.

Adult (18+):

Follows mature guidelines, with the following modifications:

  • Allows explicit imagery of sexual content including sexual acts and bodily fluids, as long as the subject is not real or photographed.

How these guidelines translate to the chat and forum

All rooms and forums that do not have the “[18+]” prefix are considered PG13 and follow the general guidelines. Mature and Adult content are prohibited in those areas.

Mature content is able to be shared and discussed freely in 18+ areas.

All adult content must be warned against before linking or embedding it, and if on the forum, must be spoilered using the [details] tag. For example:

[details="ADULT WARNING"]LINK or TEXT[/details]

luffy: warning, adult content! LINK

3. Profile Content
Profile content both in chat and on the forum must follow general guidelines.

4. Harassment & Disruptions
Intentionally harassing users for any reason is not allowed. This includes harassing Ourani Team Members about processing poses or other Administrative duties.

Trolling, or the act of joining Ourani for the sole purpose of disturbing the peace, is considered a heightened form of disrupting the peace.

5. Threats
Any death, rape, suicide/self-harm, or other threat that is considered to be portrayed in a serious manner will be handled diligently.

6. False Reporting
Lying about situations in order to get someone in trouble will result in serious action taken against your account. Administrators have the ability to do log checks (only when absolutely necessary) in chat and forum activity checks, so the team is able to verify if someone has falsely reported another user.

Do not get false reporting confused with misunderstanding the rules; if you report a user and it is because you are confused about the rules, clarification will be given to you. Please learn from these mistakes, though, and review the rules again before reporting another situation.

7. Linking Offsite
Linking to harmful software, viruses, or other content that in some way affects the user’s computer will result in a ban.

Linking to pirated or otherwise illegal software is disallowed.

8. Propositioning
Adults who proposition minors to participate in any illegal or sexual act is met with a ban across all Chatlands websites and will be submitted to the FBI depending on the severity of the situation.

Likewise, minors who proposition adults into participating in illegal activities will face a ban across all Chatlands websites.

9. Art Theft
As an art community, Ourani will never tolerate any level of art theft. Falsely claiming to have created any piece of artwork or other media will result in an immediate suspension depending on the severity of the situation.

Art theft also extends to using artwork that you have not paid for.
